INDIA MPs protest over Adani bribery case, Trinamool, Samajwadi party remained absent
PTC News Desk: Amid speculations over rift in INDIA bloc, Trinamool Congress and Samajwadi party remained absent from the protest carried out by MPs of alliance over Gautam Adani bribery case. The protest spearheaded by Congress was carried out in parliament complex with other opposition parties in attendance.
While Trinamool MP Kirti Azad said that the party was inclined towards other issues, but opposition remained united on the parliament floor.
"On the floor of the House we have the same strategy, but at the same time, we have other different issues to highlight," Azad told India Today. Samajwadi Party MP Ram Gopal Yadav also gave an evasive response. "Where are we not together in protest? We are together," he said.

The MPs, including Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi, were seen wearing jackets that had "Modi Adani Ek Hai, Adani safe hai" printed on them.
Reiterating his claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was shielding Adani, Rahul Gandhi said, "PM Modi can't get Adani investigated because if he does that, he would be getting himself investigated... Modi aur Adani ek hain."
