Kanpur teen rams car into scooter; woman dead, daughter critical
PTC News Desk: A mother was killed and her daughter was badly injured when a speeding car driven by a minor hit their scooter in Uttar Pradesh yesterday.
Police claimed the car was driven by a 17-year-old teenager who was performing stunts on a busy road in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur.
Security camera footage from the incident has gone viral on social media.
The video of the incident shows the woman and child on the scooter as a speeding car rams them after the driver loses control of the vehicle.
The accident was so strong that both the mother and her daughter were thrown into the air in opposite directions.
Police claimed passersby rushed them to the hospital.
According to officials, the woman died during treatment, while her daughter sustained several fractures and is now being treated at the hospital.
The teenager has been taken into custody, and an investigation is underway, according to officials.
