PTC Web Desk: An LED TV explosion caused by a short circuit led to a devastating fire in Gurugram's Jatauli village, leaving a 55-year-old man dead. The incident occurred late last evening in Ward Number 12 of Pataudi. The deceased, identified as Satbir, was at home alone when the tragedy struck.

Satbir, who had been paralysed for two years, lived with his two sons following his wife’s demise. At the time of the incident, one of his sons was at work, while the other had stepped out to buy medicine after serving him dinner.

The fire broke out suddenly after the LED TV exploded, engulfing the house in flames. Neighbours rushed to the scene upon noticing smoke and attempted to control the fire before the fire brigade arrived. Satbir, who was critically injured, was rescued and rushed to the hospital. Despite efforts, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

The fire brigade managed to extinguish the blaze, but the damage had already been done. The authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion and ensuring fire safety measures are reviewed in the area.
