Nawaz Sharif, Daughter To Be Released; Pak Court Suspends Jail Sentence The Pakistan court ordered the release of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter on Wednesday. They have also suspended their jail sentences in a corruption case. When Former Prime Minister’s Wife Kulsoom died, Mr. Sharif and his daughter were temporarily released from prison so that they were able to attend funeral services. And this year, separate anti-graft court landed him in a 10-year jail term over the ownership of luxury flats of London back in the 90s.
