Nepal: At least 12 persons died and dozens got injured after a bus carrying 40 passengers met with an accident in Sindhupalchok district, on Sunday. As per reports, the bus skidded off the road along the Dolakha Khadichaur-Jiri road section in Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-7 of Sindhupalchowk district on Sunday morning.
The identification of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. According to the information, the incident took place when the reserved bus (Ba 4 Kha 4468), travelling from Kalinchowk to Bhaktapur, lost control and fell into 500 metres below the road in Six Kilo at around 8:30 am on Sunday.
The bus was carrying the pilgrims back from the Kalinchowk Temple. Meanwhile, the police informed that the casualties are likely to increase, following the mishap.
Also, the police are conducting the rescue operation with the help of the locals. The injured people have been rushed to the nearby health facilities. The locals and the police started search and rescue operation.
