Netherlands to Celebrate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

The Netherlands to Celebrate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi The Netherlands is all set to celebrate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. They would be holding six events and many activities that will mark the two-year-long celebrations. The events will be as follows: -On September 30th, there would a ‘Gandhi March’ from the Peace Palace of the Hague to Grote Kerk. People of all nationalities would be participating along with twenty ambassadors from different countries. -'Sri M', a renowned guru from India, Deputy Mayor of The Hague, Kavita Parbhudayal, Ambassador of India to the Netherlands, Venu Rajamony and Ambassadors of the United States, Indonesia and Afghanistan would be addressing the participants. Also Read: Mahatma Gandhi's hand written letter on Jesus Christ up for sale -After the Gandhi March, multinational cultural performances would be there which will highlight the message of non-violence following by an exhibition organized by Pramod Kapoor of Roli Books, India. -After the exhibition, there would be a movie showcasing the life of Mahatma Gandhi. -On October 2nd, they would be celebrating it as International Day Of Non-Violence and to mark that day, they would be holding 5 events in 4 cities, i.e. Hague, Amsterdam, Utrecht and Zoetermeer. The Indian Embassy in The Hague will conduct an outreach programme with the help of community organizations named as "Follow the Mahatma".
