In a major rift in Haryana, World number one wrestler Bajrang Punia and Asian Games Champion Vinesh Phogat seems not satisfied with the services of Sports Ministry in Haryana. They took to the twitter and expressed their unhappiness on cuts in prize money by the Haryana Government according to the new sports policy. Meanwhile, Bajrang Punia took to the twitter and said that a player represents not only the state but the nation, hence such demoralizing acts of the government hit the morale of the players. Bajrang Punia appealed to think again on the new sports policy.
@anilvijminister @cmohry https://t.co/nvbRIFDE2k

Meanwhile, Vinesh Phogat took to the twitter taking Bajrang Punia’s tweet and said that the government has turned down the promise it made five years ago that no athlete will be forced to leave Haryana and be given respect and honor. No player is happy with the new sports policy, said Vinesh Phogat.

Recently, Vinesh Phogat in a statement said and I quote, “Earlier the state’s sports policy was the best in the world but in last 4-5 years no athlete has benefited, be it a team game or individual game. Anil Vij (Haryana Sports Min) calls it the best policy, it definitely isn’t.” Hence, there is no more response from the Haryana Sports Minister Anil Vij after her statement, although he has asked the players to speak to the department if they have any discrepancy.
