New Zealand lifts coronavirus restrictions after nation declared corona-free

New Zealand will lift all the coronavirus restrictions except the stringent border controls, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said. The nation’s health officials declared that no active cases of coronavirus are remaining. During the news conference in Wellington, New Zealand Prime Minister Ardern said that "We are ready." She said that the people of New Zealand had united in unprecedented ways to combat coronavirus. The people across the globe and even the World Health Organisation has lauded Ardern for her government's approach to combat coronavirus. On March 25, Ardern announced lockdown in the country for four weeks requiring that most of the people stayed at home before she announced easing the restrictions. The Prime Minister announced that from midnight on Monday, the people would live in a country where life would feel normal. Meanwhile, the New Zealanders took to social media to express their joy.
