Nirbhaya rape case: SC dismisses curative petitions of two convicts
Nirbhaya rape case: Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed the curative petitions of two convicts - Vinay Kumar Sharma and Mukesh Singh. The five-judge bench, headed by Justice NV Ramana, started hearing curative petitions filed by two Delhi 2012 gang rape and murder case convicts Vinay and Mukesh, in a chamber hearing. The curative petitions were decided in-chambers by judges. It was the last and final legal remedy available to convicts. Asha Devi, mother of 2012 Delhi gang-rape victim, said that "This is a big day for me. I had been struggling for the last 7 years.
