Good News! No case of coronavirus reported in Punjab today
The total number of coronavirus (COVID 19) cases in Punjab stands at 186 after no case was reported from the state on Wednesday. As per the media bulletin issued by the State Health Department on Tuesday, the total number of coronavirus cases was 184, however, two new cases were reported later on Tuesday. These two new cases were reported from Patiala and Sangrur. The death toll in the state remains to stand at 13. A 50-year-old resident of Safabadi Gate in Patiala tested positive for coronavirus. He was part of the groups involved in distributing langar among the needy. Hence, the health department has also quarantined his 9 primary contacts and has taken their samples for testing. In Sangrur, a contact of positive Tablighi Jamaat tested positive for coronavirus. Meanwhile, the Patiala administration has ordered the screening of the entire population living within the Patiala municipal corporation (MC). So far, Patiala and Sangrur have reported 3 cases each. Meanwhile, Mohali has reported the highest number of coronavirus cases 56 so far followed by Jalandhar at 25 and Pathankot at 22.
