No more Rs 500 fine for not wearing masks in public places in Delhi
New Delhi, October 5: The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Wednesday issued a notification as it decided to stop levying the Rs 500 fine for not wearing masks in public places. The order further stated that the services of contract health care workers hired in Covid hospitals will be extended until the end of the year. Following an increase in Covid cases, the DDMA issued an order in April requiring masks and charging a $500 fine for violations. The health ministry, on the other hand, has advised caution in light of various festivals and likely mass gatherings around the country.
