Petrol, diesel price halts after a 21-day-consecutive hike; Here are latest rates of fuel in top cities
After a continuous hike in fuel prices for 21 days, the state-run oil marketing companies did not revised the rates of petrol and diesel on Sunday. On Saturday, the diesel price was hiked by 21 paise per litre while the price of petrol has gone up by 25 paise per litre. The price of petrol has increased to Rs 9.12 per litre while the diesel price has gone up by Rs 11.01 per litre, in past 21 days. While the price of diesel was hiked for 21 days, the prices of petrol have increased on 20 occasions in three weeks. After 82-day break from reviewing the fuel prices amid coronavirus pandemic, the retailers are adjusting the rates in line with costs from June 7. Meanwhile, in Delhi, both the prices of petrol and diesel are above Rs 80.
