Bathinda: Contrary to the popular perception and negative campaign unleashed by some political parties, drug tests conducted on 5500 youths during army recruitment drive in Bathinda, showed that not a single youth was addicted to drugs. This recruitment drive was done in the last week of April and results were very good. More than 1000 youths were selected by the army, said army after the result. More than 8,500 candidates had come to attend the rally till Saturday. hushan Kuncheria, colonel and director of recruitment, Ferozepur, said, “In the recruitment procedure, the drug testing was added recently to ensure that drug addicted candidates could not join the army. None of the candidates was tested positive for drugs.
