Sukhbir, Harsimrat Badal condemn Delhi violence

Northeast Delhi Violence: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal and Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Friday condemned the violence that took place in northeast Delhi. The violence followed clashes between pro and anti-CAA protestors. While addressing a press conference in Amritsar, Sukhbir Singh Badal said that stern action should be taken against those guilty. Likewise, Harsimrat Badal also said that strict action should be taken against the culprits and also stated that a thorough investigation must take place.

Death toll in Northeast Delhi Violence

The death toll in northeast Delhi violence has climbed to 35. The violence erupted after anti-CAA protestors blocked the road near Jaffrabad metro station. BJP leader Kapil Mishra asked his people to assemble there. He asked the police to clear the road. His provocative statements led to the stone-pelting between the two groups. Afterwards, it turned into a violent protest.

DSGMC comes in for support of Delhi violence victims

Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) took initiative and organized Langar for the victims of Delhi violence. Meanwhile, DSGMC President Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that the committee has organized Langar for the victims. He added that the Sewa was not only for a single community, but it was also for every single person who has suffered during the violence.

Parkash Singh Badal on Delhi Violence 

Former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal stated that "Delhi Violence was very unfortunate. There were three highlights of Constitution - secularism, socialism and democracy. But there was no socialism, secularism and democracy existed only on two levels - Parliamentary and state elections." -PTC News
