Northern California Fires: Sikh Community provides Humanitarian relief 
Northern California’s air quality is worse than Delhi and Beijing because of the campfire that started on November 8. More than 1,100 people have been missing and the death toll has crossed 71. In the wake of this destruction, many Sikh organizations have come forward to support the victims who lost their homes. Many gurdwaras in the area have opened their doors for these victims and are providing them food and shelter. Sikhs for Humanity, a Bay area based Sikh organisation, also came forward to help the victims. The volunteers have delivered a truckload of necessity items like blankets, pillows, canned food and fruits to the distribution centre.
sikh humanity Sikhs for Humanity spokesperson told the media sources that these necessity items were out of stock. They were also thankful to the Sangat for their support in the cause. The Sikh Gurdwara has organized a blood donation camp in Stockon. They are hopeful to provide assistance via blood donation camp. People in Stockton area are also collecting supplies to be delivered to the shelters.
