Notorious snatchers arrested by Crime Branch Chandigarh In a major breakthrough the Crime Branch of Chandigarh Police under the supervision of Inspector Amanjot Singh has arrested the most notorious cousin brothers involved in recent snatching cases on bullet motor cycle and auto lifting from Chandigarh. The cousin brothers, Ramandeep Singh (23) from Derabassi and Manjeet Singh from Kapurthala (25) were arrested by the Crime Branch. On 26 June, secret information was received that one person who is committing snatching on Bullet Motor cycle is presently roaming in the area of Police Station 26, Chandigarh. On the basis of secret information the naka was laid and Ramandeep Singh was apprehended while he was looking for his another prey. On 27 June, Manjeet Singh cousin brother of Ramandeep Singh was arrested from Solan (HP) and was brought to Chandigarh and on his interrogation it has been revealed that even he has committed some snatchings with his brother Ramandeep who has already been arrested by Crime Branch. Further on the interrogation and disclosure statements made by both, total 10 cases were worked out. Out of which 5 are snatching and 5 are of vehicle theft. (Bullet Motor Cycle which was used in crime was also recovered). Both the brothers are drug addicts and are in habit of consuming heroin. Presently they have taken Hotel on lease in Kumharhatti, Solan, HP and to pay the lease amount they were committing snatchings in the Tri-City. During further interrogation it has been revealed that both the brothers are involved in more than 25 cases of snatching in Tri-city. Apart from the above said recovery one motor cycle and 10 mobile phones were also recovered from them which were taken in possession u/s 102 Cr.P.C. -PTC News
