Aadhaar, the identity of every Indian, which is used everywhere in every department, as an Identity card. The 12-digit random number which captures his/her name, gender, age, etc links the demographic information following the biometrics such as fingerprints and eye scanner. Now, India is all set to implement the world’s biggest project of making Aadhaar for cattle and buffaloes.
As per reports, each animal will be provided a thermoplastic polyurethane ear tag having 12-digit UID on it, including males, calves, heifers, old and stray animals. The data will capture the breed, species, and pedigree of each and every particular animal. Also, the Aadhaar for animals will be more comprehensive than that of humans.
The project INAPH will provide proper identification of animals in an order to trace the products, whether it is a milk or meat. Meanwhile, nearly 22.3 million cows and buffaloes have been given the Pashu Aadhaar by uploading their complete data on the INAPH database. Well, India is the biggest milk producer in the world. The INAPH data will be used to select the disease-free, high genetic merit bulls and fertile cows the purpose of breeding.
