NRI commits suicide in Moga village
A Dubai -based NRI, Beant Singh, resident of Bhagpur village in Moga reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a fan on Monday , police said. He was rushed to civil hospital in Moga, where doctors declared him brought dead.

According to a police official, he was under mental stress because of financial conditions. He was living in Dubai for past six years and had returned to his native village on January 6.

The body of the deceased was handed over to his family after post-mortem examination in civil hospital. Meanwhile the police have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the CrPC
