Oberservations against accused by HC IN ’84 Sikh riot cases has rekindled hope of justice for community: Manjinder Singh Sirsa

New Delhi: The Shiromani Akali Dal-Bhartiya Janta Party combine MLA Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said today that observations of the Delhi High Court against the accused in 1984 anti sikh riot cases has not only rekindled hope of justice for the community but also has vindicated that accusations leveled against the culprits are right.
In a statement Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that it is first time in 33 years that judiciary has also accepted that the accused don't want victims to get justice. He said that though the community members including the victims had been claiming from day one that accused are powerful leaders who had been shielded by the Congress party and its government during all these years, it was first time that the judiciary has also accepted that these persons were running away from even from answering show cause notices issued to them.
He said that observations of the court that more than 3 thousand persons had died in the worst ever massacre directed against sikh community has also proved that it was an organized crime directed against the community. He said that since last more than 3 decades the victims and their families have been struggling to get justice but the with the help of the  Congress governments they were repeatedly let off the hook. He said that now when the judiciary has also accepted that these leaders were running away from re investigation and re trial of the cases, the members of the community feel that chances of them getting justice have brightened.
Mr. Sirsa said that these observations will go a long way in deciding cases against the accused who want to misuse the judicial process to save their skin.
