Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup: After Akashdeep, Harendra Singh reprimanded

India’s sorrows are refusing to end. After losing 1-2 to Netherlands in quarter fina ls of the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup in Bhubaneswar that came as a great disappointment of home crowds, Team India suffered a jolt when its star playmaker Akashdeep singh was banned for two games. The ban would be enforced in an FIH sponsored event. The ban follows his utterings and gestures during the quarter final game.

Now the Technical Delegate has reprimanded the Chief Coach of Indian team, Harendra Singh, for criticizing the umpiring at his post match conference.

The Technical Delegate has suggested that official reprimand of Harendra Singh would be recorded by International Hockey Fedration (FIH) and it could be taken into account if the coach breached the Code of Conduct for players and coaches again.
