Over 10 men gang-rape mother, daughter in Bihar in front of father
A woman and her daughter were allegedly gang-raped by a group of 12 people in the Sondiha village in the district of Gaya. The victim has identified two of the accused, as per police reports.
According to reports, the horrific incident took place when the family was returning home on a motorbike and was halted by the accused. The dozen of boys then tied the father to a tree while they took turns raping the mother and the 15-year-old daughter in front of the father.
Inspector General of Police (Patna), Naiyar Hasnain Khan told reports, "The three were passing through Sondiha on a motorcycle when they were waylaid by the youths carrying firearms. They raped the mother and the daughter after tying the father to a tree."
"It also came to light during the investigation that before the gangrape incident, the same group of youths snatched away mobile phones and cash from a couple of students passing through the village.
Twenty people have been detained by the Koch police in connection with the crime. Meanwhile, a medical test of the victims has been conducted and the reports are awaited.
