Over 2,000 Punjabis stuck in Saudi Arabia, kin met Shwait Malik

Family members of 2,000 Punjabis who are stuck in Saudi Arabia met Shwait Malik on Friday in New Delhi. According to the media reports, at least 4,000 Indian nationals are stuck in Saudi Arabia, out of which 2,000 are Punjabis.

For the last six months, 4,000 Indians working in Saudi Arabia were stuck in Riyadh and other cities of Saudi Arabia. The families of these construction workers recently approached state BJP General Secretary, Rakesh Rathour, regarding the issue. They also seek the intervention of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

The families told the media sources that the visa of their kin has expired. Above that, the construction company was not paying them any money, due to which most of them were suffering from various medical issues.
