Oxygen shortage: Delhi High Court asks Centre to implement its order strictly
The Delhi High Court on Thursday resumed a hearing on the petitions related to the oxygen shortage in India and directed the Centre to implement its order strictly to ensure free movement of oxygen-carrying vehicles.
Advocate Rahul Mehra, representing Delhi, informed the Court that Saroj Hospital and Shanti Mukund Hospital will run out of oxygen soon. He added that the supply was being stopped in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. We're aren't able to contact oxygen firm Inox, he said.

Delhi High Court suggested that let oxygen firm Inox continue to supply to Delhi and let Panipat plant supply to Haryana.
Meanwhile, the SG Mehta apprised Delhi HC that the Centre has passed an order directing that anyone obstructing Oxygen supply may face action; no restriction on oxygen supplier and oxygen-carrying vehicle, there should be free movement of oxygen-carrying vehicles.

The Delhi Court asked the Centre to implement its order strictly. "If the government wants, they can make heaven and earth meet", the Court said.
Mehta also informed that Delhi HC that oxygen could be produced at Vedanta Plant which was closed in Tamil Nadu. We can reopen it to produce medical oxygen, which will be provided free of cost, he said, adding that the Vedanta Plant was currently not working due to a violation of environmental norms.
The MHA, in its order, stated that "No restriction shall be imposed on the movement of Medical Oxygen between the State and transport authorities shall be instructed to accordingly allow free inter-state movement of oxygen-carrying vehicles."
