Pakistan: 5 policemen killed in Dera Ismail Khan Ambush
At least 5 policemen were killed after terrorists targeted a police van patrolling on Tuesday in Dera Ismail Khan in Pakistan. The incident took place in Paroha tehsil in Dera Ismail Khan District bordering South Waziristan.

According to media reports, the terrorists were hiding behind the bushes and attacked the police van with heavy firing. The security forces retaliated but terrorists managed to flee from the scene. In the attack, 4 policemen died on the spot while the Station Head Officer (SHO) sustained injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Following the attack, the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
