Pakistan national held near Amritsar border post
A Pakistani national, Riasat Ali was arrested by the Border Security Force on Friday near Mullekot border in Amritsar. According to the media reports, Riasat Ali is from Sardakot in Pakistan. BSF recovered Rs 145 in Pakistani currency, a cigarette box and a banner from his possession.

The police briefed the media that Risasat Ali was handed over to the police by the BSF after conducting a preliminary investigation. It further added that Riasat Ali seemed mentally unstable.

The police has registered a case under under Sections 34 and 24 of the Indian Passport Act and Section 14 of the Foreign Act. He was produced before the court and has been sentenced to the judicial custody after undergoing medical examination.
