Pakistani drone spotted over Punjab village, BSF on high alert

Indian security forces have been put on high alert after a suspected Pakistani drone was seen flying near the Punjab border around the check post at Hussainiwala in Ferozepur. Villagers filmed the drone on their mobile phones. It was first spotted from Hazarasingh Wala village at around 7:20 pm on Tuesday and later from Tendiwala village at 10:10 pm. Another Pakistani drone was sighted on Monday night as well. After it crossed the border, the Border Security Force issued an alert to senior officials. Later, BSF along with Punjab Police and other intelligence agencies conducted a search operation to locate the drone. Pakistan has been accused of sending drugs and ammunition to Punjab via drones. Also Read: Pakistan builds 30 launchpads to push Jaish, LeT and Aghan militants into Kashmir Recently, Punjab Police recovered two heavy-lifting Chinese drones, which were used by Pakistan to drop AK-47 rifles, fake currency, and drugs. Investigations by Punjab Police revealed the involvement of a terror module of the revived Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), backed by Pakistan and Germany-based terror groups. Police said the groups started smuggling weapons into India after the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. -PTC News
