In a historic decision, the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday directed dismissed candidates to give representation again in front of returning officers (RO).

The court has also directed the returning officers to take the decision on their nomination papers within 48 hours.

As many as 200 petitioners had moved to HC against cancellation of their nomination in upcoming panchayat elections.
Out of 200 petitions ,HC directed 105 petitioners to give representation again to Returning officers.The Panchayat elections in Punjab are scheduled to be held on December 30.
