Parkash Singh Badal and SAD President condole passing away of Jathedar Avtar Singh Makkar
Chandigarh: Former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal on Friday condoled the passing away of former SGPC President Jathedar Avtar Singh Makkar after a brief illness in Delhi. In a condolence message here, Sh. Parkash Singh Badal described Jathedar Makkar as someone who had dedicated his entire life to the Sikh Panth. “From heading the Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Model Town Ludhiana as its Mukh Sewadar to leading the SGPC for eleven years, Jathedar Makkar will be remembered as both a dynamic preacher as well as a capable administrator”.
