Partap Singh Bajwa hits out at his own government, threatens dharna over sugarcane growers’ issue Former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president and member of Rajya Sabha Partap Singh Bajwa made a veiled attack on his own party colleague and Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh over sugarcane growers issue. Pratap Singh Bajwa threatened to lead a dharna to express solidarity with protesting sugarcane growers in case the Congress government failed to clear the pending dues and ensure procurement by sugar mills. He also threatened to move to Punjab and Haryana High Court against his own government. Meanwhile, Bajwa also advised Captain Amarinder Singh led Congress government to act wisely in aspect to strengthen the party in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. - PTC News
