Passengers experience nose and ear bleeding due to crew goof-up
Passengers fall sick after crew goof-up, flight turns back midway
A Jet Airways Mumbai-Jaipur flight was turned back to Mumbai mid-air on Thursday as during the take off the crew forgot to select the switch to maintain cabin pressure.
Around 30 of the 166 passengers experienced nose and ear bleeding, while some also complained of headache. As the flight turned back the passengers were immediately rushed to a hospital in Mumbai where they were treated.
The crew had been taken off duty and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) had started an investigation, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said.
