PB CM, Other Dignitaries & Political Leaders Attend Cremation Of Karanpal Singh Sekhon Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Tuesday shared his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family of his Political Secretary Karanpal Singh Sekhon, who passed away at Aswan in Egypt following a massive heart attack last week. Also read: Capt Amarinder visits Vajpayee's New Delhi residence to pay respects to family Extending his condolences to the deceased’s son Gurmehar Singh Sekhon and daughter Anandita, Captain Amarinder prayed to the Almighty to give them strength and courage to bear this huge loss and grant eternal peace to the departed soul. The Chief Minister described the death of Sekhon as a personal loss, recalling their close ties and the long association between their families, spanning over four generations. Later, the mortal remains of Karanpal Sekhon were consigned to flames with full honour at the Manimajra cremation ground this afternoon. Captain Amarinder Singh was amongst several civil and military dignitaries who laid wreaths as a mark of respect to the deceased. The funeral pyre was lit by his son Gurmehar Singh Sekhon. Preneet Kaur, Media Advisor to Chief Minister Raveen Thukral, Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Lt. Gen. (Retd.)
