Punjab Education Minister Soni hands over Appointment Letters to english and hindi Teachers Punjab Education Minister Mr. O.P. Soni handed over Appointment-cum-offer letters to 599 teachers on Wednesday. 257 letters were handed over to English and 342 letters to hindi subject teachers. Along with teachers, appointement-cum-offer letters were also handed over to 6 clerks, 3 library restorers, 1 SLA and 16 class four employees on compassionate grounds. Earlier, out of out of total 3582 teachers, only 2082 teachers were given appointment letters and matter of english and hindi subject teachers wen to court. The court’s verdict on Wednesday stated that the appointment letters to be given out to the remaining teachers. Who received appointment letters today, should be committed themselves to provide qualitative education to the children of government schools in the state so that our children could survive in this cut and throat competition era.” He further said, “When government is ready to accept the legitimate demands of the teachers, then there should be no reason for teachers to go for agitations.” -PTC NEWS
