PCB appoints Younis Khan as batting coach

Pakistan's successful Test batsman and former captain Younis Khan has been appointed as the batting coach for men's national team for England tour, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Tuesday. The PCB has also appointed former Test player Mushtaq Ahmed as the spin bowling coach and mentor for the three-Test and three-T20Is series against England, which is scheduled to be played in August-September.  The appointments have been made to provide assistance to head coach Misbah-ul-Haq and fast bowling coach Waqar Younis. Meanwhile, additional players will be sent to England. PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan stated that: he is delighted that Younis Khan has agreed to join the Pakistan cricket as men's team batting coach. His commitment and enthusiasm to take up this assignment and serve his country was never in doubt and he jumped at the opportunity, Wasim said. https://twitter.com/TheRealPCBMedia/status/1270238397949452289?s=20 The work ethics of Younis and his commitment for match preparation, game awareness and tactics in the English conditions will be invaluable, he said, adding that he is a role model to a number of current players.
