Petrol and Diesel prices in India touch new high; check latest fuel rates
The Petrol and diesel prices in India today reached new highs after the state-owned oil marketing companies increased the rates by around 30 paise for the sixth straight day.
As per the report, the petrol prices in Delhi was hiked by 29 paise from Rs 88.44 to Rs 88.73 per litre while diesel in the national capital was increased by 32 paise from Rs 78.74 per litre to Rs 79.06 per litre.

Meanwhile, the revised petrol and diesel rates in Mumbai increased to Rs 95.21 per litre and Rs 86.04 per litre, respectively. Reportedly, the fuel rates are the highest in Mumbai out of all the four metro cities.
Petrol and diesel prices in India have been witnessing an upswing since January 6, 2021, after remaining unchanged for almost a month. The fuel prices increased following a rally in the global crude oil prices in the wake of COVID-19 vaccination drives across the world.

A report stated that the price of petrol and diesel in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal at has surged to Rs 96.69 per litre and Rs 87.20 per litre, respectively.
Petrol prices in India today
A local said that "The government should control inflation and that the continuous hike in fuel prices is affecting the common man."
Any change in fuel rates get implemented with effect from 6 am on a daily basis.
