Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated Uddhav Thackeray for taking oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. PM Modi said in a tweet: “Congratulations to Uddhav Thackeray Ji on taking oath as the CM of Maharashtra. I am confident he will work diligently for the bright future of Maharashtra.”

Meanwhile, Former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and DMK President MK Stalin were present at the oath ceremony of Uddhav Thackeray. Also, Thackeray commenced first cabinet meeting, in Mumbai on Thursday. After the cabinet meeting, Thackeray said, “I want to assure the people of the state that we will give a good government. I want to help the farmers in a manner which will make them happy.”
Adding, he said “I am happy to tell you all that the first decision that this cabinet has taken is to approve Rs 20 Crores for the development of Raigad which was the capital of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.” “I have asked officials to provide me with complete information on state and centre schemes for farmers, in the next two days. Once I get all details, I will take a decision accordingly,” he added.
Also, Uddhav Thackeray cabinet has approved Rs 20 crore for development of Raigad. Meanwhile, hoardings and banners were seen in Mumbai congratulating Shiv Sena chief and leader of ‘Maha Vikas Aghadi’, Uddhav Thackeray, after he took oath as the Chief Minister of the state.
