Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday responded to US President Donald Trump who thanked India for allowing the export of anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine. He said that India would do everything possible to help humanity’s fight against coronavirus.
Donald Trump had written: “Extraordinary times require even closer cooperation between friends. Thank you India and the Indian people for the decision on HCQ. Will not be forgotten! Thank you Prime Minister Narendra Modi for your strong leadership in helping not just India, but humanity, in this fight!”
Fully agree with you President @realDonaldTrump. Times like these bring friends closer. The India-US partnership is stronger than ever.
India shall do everything possible to help humanity's fight against COVID-19.

Responding to the tweet: “Fully agree with you President Donald Trump. Times like these bring friends closer. The India-US partnership is stronger than ever. India shall do everything possible to help humanity’s fight against COVID-19. We shall win this together.”
India, the largest producer of hydroxychloroquine, had agreed to lift the ban on the export of the medicine to the US after Donald Trump spoke to PM Narendra Modi on a phone last week.
Three Gujarat-based companies would export these tablets to the United States, the Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said. Meanwhile, the US president told the media persons, at his daily White House news conference on coronavirus, that he wants to thanks PM Narendra Modi for allowing us to have what we requested for the problem that arose. “We will remember it,” he added.
