PM Narendra Modi to meet all CMs to discuss Covid-19 vaccine rollout in India

Prime minister Narendra Modi will meet the chief ministers of all states and Union territories to discuss the Covid-19 vaccine rollout in India. PM Narendra Modi will meet CMs on Monday at 4 pm. He will also discuss the current situation of the coronavirus pandemic in the nation. It is pertinent to mention that a government expert panel had approved two Covid-19 vaccines — Covaxin and Covishield — on January 1. Later, the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DCGI) also gave a nod to the vaccines for emergency use approval. Meanwhile, the State governments, panchayats, and municipalities are being trained to ensure the Covid-19 vaccine rollout in India. The Central Government is looking forward to procuring around 50-60 million doses of COVID-10 vaccine as it targets to vaccinate 30 million people in the first phase. Likewise, the DGCA on Friday issued guidelines for the transportation and handling of the coronavirus vaccines by airlines and airport operators. The Centre has directed the airlines to pack the jabs in packets of dry ice. Prime minister Narendra Modi will meet CMs to discuss the Covid-19 vaccine rollout in India, the news agency ANI reported. All the scheduled operators may carry Covid-19 vaccines packed in dry ice, meeting the regulatory requirements, the guidelines stated.
