Aam Aadmi Party MP Bhagwant Mann and MLA Harpal Singh Cheema have been detained for protesting in Mohali near Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh’s ‘Siswan Farm House’ against the electricity crisis in the state. The protest was being held under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann. Water cannons were used by police to disperse Aam Aadmi Party workers. Also Read | Shocking! It may be recalled the AAP National convener Arvind Kejriwal has promised free electricity for people in Punjab if AAP comes into power. However, he said that it would be free only up to 300 units.
