Poonam Sinha files nomination from Lucknow; will contest against Rajnath Singh
Wife of actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha, Poonam Sinha filed her nomination from Lucknow Parliamentary Constituency on Thursday. Two days ago, she joined the Samajwadi Party (SP). She will contest Lok Sabha 2019 elections against Union Minister Rajnath Singh.

Rajnath Singh had won from Lucknow in the 2014 general elections.SP, BSP, and RLD are contesting Lok Sabha polls in alliance in Uttar Pradesh in which the SP will contest on 37 seats, BSP on 38 and RLD on three.
