Post-mortem report of farmer who died: Following the death of a farmer during a tractor march in Delhi on Republic Day, there were speculations that he was shot dead by Delhi Police. However, the police had denied the speculations over the death of the farmer during tractor march and stated that he died as the tractor, he was driving, overturned after hitting police barricades. Avinash Chandra, ADG Bareilly in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, stated that "The post mortem report clarifies that he (a farmer who died during the tractor rally in Delhi yesterday) was not shot." Meanwhile, Delhi Police has mentioned the incident where a farmer died after his tractor overturned. The FIR stated that the Police and others started rescuing them but the protesting farmers came there with tractors and attempted to hit Police officials. The police had a close shave and left from the spot, later they got to know that the farmer succumbed to his injuries, the FIR stated. Delhi Police also stated that Bharatiya Kisan Union spokesperson Rakesh Tikait's name has been mentioned in an FIR by Delhi Police.
