President Kovind and First lady Savita Kovind leave for Tajikistan

President Kovind and First lady Savita Kovind leaves for Tajikistan Indian President Ram Nath Kovind and First Lady Savita Kovind on Sunday embarked on a three-day-visit to Tajikistan. It is the first time that the President is visiting Central Asia. In this three-day-visit, President would be meeting Tajik counterpart Emamoli Rahmon, Speaker of the Parliament Shukurjon Zuhurov, and Prime Minister of Tajikistan Qohir Rasulzoda. He would deliver a lecture on ‘Countering Radicalization: Challenges in Modern Societies'. He would also be addressing the members of the Indian diaspora in Tajikistan. After addressing the audience, he would visit the memorials of Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore to pay his respects. He will offer floral tribute.
