President Kovind to leave for Myanmar today

President Kovind to leave for Myanmar today
The Indian President, Ram Nath Kovind, will leave for a five-day visit to Myanmar today (December 10). The visit aims to boost the bilateral relations between the two countries. President Kovind and First Lady Savita Kovind will be arriving in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday evening.

On December 11, there will be a ceremonial welcome, following which delegation-level talks will be held with the Myanmar counterpart Win Myint. President Kovind will also meet the State Counsellor, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. They will sign agreements, following which they will proceed towards the official dinner to be hosted in honour of him and First Lady. The official dinner will include a small cultural performance for them.

On December 12, President Kovind will be visiting the Advanced Center for Agricultural Research and Education and the Rice Bio-park. Both of these projects are funded by the Government of India grants. During which, President Kovind will launch a mobile application for agricultural technology.

On December 13, the President and his team will be visiting the Shri Kali Temple and the Mazaar of last Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar. He will also inaugurate ‘Enterprise India' exhibition set up by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) of about 45-50 Indian companies.
On December 14, President Kovind and First Lady will then leave for New Delhi.
