Priyanka Chopra stranded in UK amid mutant coronavirus strain: Report
In the wake of New mutant coronavirus strain, the UK government announced a strict lockdown due to which Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Aftab Shivdasani, along with his family, were stranded in the country.
The UK government imposed another tier lockdown, and perhaps the strictest lockdown, to contain the spread of a new mutant strain of coronavirus, which triggered a severe effect on other countries as well.

Due to this, several countries banned flights from and to the UK in an order to break the chain of transmission.
Therefore, celebrities like Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Aftab Shivdasani have been stranded in the UK.

According to the report, the actress was shooting for her Hollywood drama titled "Text For YOum" alongside Sam Heughan in London. Meanwhile, the team has been trying to make arrangements for their return to the US in the wake of new restrictions imposed by the UK government.
As per the sources, the top priority is to ensure the safe return of the cast and crew besides special permission is being sought to travel back to the US. The source also revealed that the procedure may take longer as the lockdown norms have become stricter than ever before.
Thus, it may be possible that Priyanka and the rest of the team will have to stay put in the UK for a while. Likewise, Aftab Shivdasani had come to see wife Nin and daughter Nevaeh in England but got stuck.
