Prove allegations or resign, Bikram Majithia challenges Sukhjinder Randhawa

Prove allegations or resign, Bikram Majithia challenges Sukhjinder Randhawa Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) general secretary Bikram Singh Majithia today challenged Cooperation minister Sukhjinder Randhawa to prove his allegation that youth volunteers had not helped distressed farmer Budh Singh to pay back his loan or resign from his post. He should inquire into all the funds received across the State from youth volunteers in small denominations of tens and hundreds of rupees”. Mr Majithia urged youth to contribute in their own way as per their capacity towards the corpus being created by the SAD to help distressed farmers. Budh Singh said he would continue this fight till the loan of farmers, khet mazdoor and dalits was not waived off. He said Rahul was also playing politics on this issue. “The Congress president has time to visit the families of six farmers who died in Madhya Pradesh two times in the space of one year but does not have time to visit even a single one of the 700 farm suicide victims in Punjab”. He also condemned Rahul Gandhi for trying to implement a fake loan waiver scheme initiated by him in Punjab in other States. “Now Rahul wants to cheat farmers of the country after betraying farmers of Punjab”, he added. He said recently the chief minister was quoted in a newspaper advertisement saying 1.13 lakh jobs had been provided to youth by his government. “Earlier he was quoted as saying that 3.25 lakhs jobs had been provided which amounted to 650 jobs per day”. He said the truth was that no government job had been provided to youth in the last nearly two years. “The government is reducing salaries of those who have been provided jobs by the SAD-BJP government. It has also failed to provide the promised Rs 2,500 per month unemployment allowance and smart phones”.
