After PTC NEWS, this trust took the initiative to Help Idu Sharif
A person who once lent his voice to a very famous Punjabi movie, ‘Tera Mera ki Rishta’s song, Zindgi de rang sajjna ajj hor te kal nu hor is now is now waging a war of survival against disease and poverty.
Idu Sharif is a living legend who promoted the Dhadi genre and will remain a gold chapter in the pages of the history of Punjabi Folk Singing. He was once a recipient of Sangeet Natak Akademi and other awards is now fighting a formidable battle for survival in his sunset years.
It was the beginning of his journey in the dark lane after his sunset. He suffered a paralytic stroke in 2011. After this, he suffered three more strokes leaving him bed-ridden and without a voice.

He was without help and basic amenities. Looking at this, PTC NEWS came forward and decided to help him with his treatment. PTC Network Managing Director, Rabindra Narayan, gives him an aid of Rs 50,000. He also promised him a better treatment.
Earlier also, the PTC news has honored Idu Sharif, in its special show. When Mr R. Narayan, President, and MD, PTC Network came to know about his condition, he immediately offered his help to the soulful singer of the Punjabi Folk Music.
Mr. Narayan, also requested other organizations to come forward and help this God gifted artiste of Punjabi Folk Industry. PTC network and Sarbat da Bhala trust finally gave a voice of hope to the lost bird. It once sang the following lines, which are true in this world:
