Pulwama Attack Anniversary: PM Modi, Amit Shah pay homage to martyrs

Pulwama Attack Anniversary: As the nation marks the first anniversary of deadliest Pulwama attack on Friday, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid tributes to the martyrs. While paying tribute, PM Modi said in a tweet: "Tributes to the brave martyrs who lost their lives in the gruesome #PulwamaAttack last year. They were exceptional individuals who devoted their lives to serving and protecting our nation. India will never forget their martyrdom." Likewise, Amit Shah took to twitter and wrote: "I pay homage to the martyrs of Pulwama attack. India will forever be grateful of our bravehearts and their families who made supreme sacrifice for the sovereignty and integrity of our motherland." Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said in a tweet: "Remembering the fallen CRPF personnel who were martyred during the dastardly attack in Pulwama (J&K) on this day in 2019. India will never forget their sacrifice. Entire nation stands united against terrorism and we are committed to continue our fight against this menace." 40 CRPF personnel were killed when they were targeted by the suicide bomber of terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on February 14, 2019. Soon after the attack, the tensions were flare up between India and Pakistan. Days after the attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a rally that "I have the same fire in my heart that is inside you (people)."
