The Punjab Vidhan Sabha was adjourned till Monday as a mark of respect to martyrs in wake of Pulwama terror attack . At least 40 CRPF personnel were martyred after Jaish-e- Mohammad (JeM) militants targeted the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy with a car bomb in Awantipora in Pulwama

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh moved the resolution.

Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Bikram Majithia raised the issue before the House . The issue was backed by Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs.
