Coronavirus Punjab: After 134 passengers of an international chartered flight from Italy tested positive for Covid-19 on arrival at Punjab’s Amritsar airport, 13 of them have managed to escape. As per the report, nine of them managed to flee from the airport while four of them managed to flee from the hospital. The Covid-19 patients, who ran away from the hospital were admitted to Amritsar’s Guru Nanak Dev Hospital. The passengers, who escaped, have been asked to immediately isolate themselves and report to the authorities, or else their pictures and details would be made public. According to information, a total of 134 out of 179 passengers on an international chartered flight from Italy's Milan tested positive for Covid-19 on arrival at Punjab's Amritsar airport. An international charter flight from Italy to Amritsar was scheduled and landed at Amritsar airport at 11:15 am on Thursday. After a mandatory Covid test at the airport, 134 passengers were found positive for Covid-19. The family members of the passengers who reached the airport showed anger towards the airport authorities and questioned the testing lab. The coronavirus cases in Punjab have been rising rapidly. As many as 2022 new cases of Covid-19 were reported from the state in the last 24 hours.
