Irrigation scam: HC puts stay on LoC for former CS Sarvesh Kaushal
Chandigarh, December 6, 2022: In a major relief, Punjab and Haryana High Court put stay on LoC and action by Vigilance Bureau against former Punjab Chief Secretary Sarvesh Kaushal.

Punjab and Haryana High Court granted complete protection to Sarvesh Kaushal from any coercive action by the Punjab government and Vigilance Bureau.
Meanwhile, Sarvesh Kaushal requested the court that he wishes to join the vigilance enquiry after returning home from abroad in three weeks.
Sarvesh Kaushal's lawyer has also assured in the High Court that Sarvesh Kaushal will come to India in three weeks and cooperate in the investigation.
"LoC has become an obstacle in the way of his return to his homeland," he said.
A stay notice has also been issued against the enquiry in this case. Advocate RS Cheema, Nitin Kaushal, and other lawyers appeared for Sarvesh Kaushal, while Additional Advocate General Gaurav Garg Dhuriwala from the Government of Punjab and Additional Solicitor General of India Satya Pal Jain from the Government of India were present in the court.
