Punjab Govt extends winter holidays in Anganwadi centres till January 8
Chandigarh, January 1: In view of bone chilling cold weather in Punjab, Bhagwant Mann led State Government on Monday extended winter vacation till January 8, 2023 in all Anganwadi centres. Giving information in this regard, Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development of Punjab, Dr. Baljit Kaur said that holidays have been extended in all the Anganwadi Centers of the state till January 8 to safeguard young children and staff from harsh weather conditions.

ਛੋਟੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਂਗਣਵਾੜੀ ਸੈਂਟਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 8 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਤੱਕ ਛੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਂਗਣਵਾੜੀ ਸੈਂਟਰ 9 ਜਨਵਰੀ 2023 ਨੂੰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹਣਗੇ।ਜ਼ਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਛੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਮੌਸਮ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। — Dr. Baljit Kaur (@DrBaljitAAP) January 2, 2023

Anganwadi centers across Punjab and state schools will open and close at their pre-scheduled times after the holidays. The state government had decided to open all government, private, aided and recognized schools at 10 am.
